Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth may need to be extracted if they affect other teeth – often referred to as “coming in sideways” or “impacted wisdom teeth”. This failure to erupt properly may occur either because there is not enough room in the jaw for the tooth, or because of its abnormal position. Many oral health specialists will recommend the removal of wisdom teeth, as early extraction will help to eliminate problems.

Some of the problems associated with impacted wisdom teeth include: bacteria and plaque build-up, cyst development, tumor development, infection and jaw and gum disease.

Specialist Referrals
Over the years we have developed experience in all aspects of dental care, but in certain cases we may refer patients to colleagues who have specialist skills in certain disciplines e.g. Oral Surgery & Medicine and Implantology. However, most minor surgeries are performed in our practice by Dr. Feerick.
